Tatamagouche Centre’s five cosy residences include rooms with 1, 2 or 3 beds. This allows us to comfortably accommodate 27 guests in single rooms, 54 guests in double occupancy or 62 guests if some rooms share triple occupancy. For group bookings lodging starts at $60 per person in shared lodging and $90 per person in single room.

Meeting Rooms

Single meeting space rate

$200 per day

Choose the space most suited to your group from our five meeting rooms in the main building, Stewart Hall. Three of the residences (Campbell House, Steven’s House and Saswasig Lodge) have lounges that groups may use for their daytime meetings.

The Sanctuary

The Sanctuary is perfect for a performance space, singing, dancing and chatting or yoga/ mediation program or the starting circle in gatherings. Everything from gospel choirs to contemplative retreats. This room is also used for devotions, weddings or simply as meeting space. It can generally accommodate a group of 30-35 people in circle and up to 45 in theatre-style seating.

The Common Room

The Common Room is a uniquely warm meeting space with couches, easy chairs and a fireplace. It has been a great space for breaking out into smaller groups, rest and reflection time, or after-program games. This room will be comfortable for a group of 10 even up to 20 people.
Dimensions: 21′ x 28′.

The Training Room

The Training Room is the largest meeting space in the Stewart Hall. It will accommodate circles of 35-40 and is generally used for learning, projections and gathering. With its retro feel and many windows, this is a great room for circles or cafe style smaller groups. Air conditioning for warm weather. Theatre style seating will allow groups of up to 60 people.
Dimensions: 22′ x 42′.

The Board Room

The Board Room is located on the lower level at the end of the dining hall. It will accommodate a group of up to 10 people looking for a private space. Also makes a good quiet, prayer or work room.

The Dining Room

The Dining Room can generally seat up to 100 guests but has accommodated up to 40 people during the pandemic. You can taste the love and local in the delicious food served here. This is also a great place to group between meals, play a puzzle, do bead work, group work, sit in the cosy couches in the corner, or get a midnight snack of tea & popcorn from our retro popcorn machine.

Accessible, Scent & Pet Free (support dogs welcome)

Tatamagouche Centre strives to be as accessible and welcome as possible for everyone.

Stewart Hall, our main meeting facility, has two accessible bathrooms and paved accessible parking spaces with entrance ramps in both the front and the back of the building. An inside elevator connects the two levels. Ask for the elevator key.

There are paved walkways to the Creighton Units the Saswasig Lodge and Campbell House.

Creighton unit #4 is accessible except the shower. Campbell House room #6, Stevens’ House room #1 and Saswasig Lodge #3 are completely accessible. The Stevens House is located accross the street and is the farthest away from the main meeting facility.

We have gender neutral washrooms available in our facility, a quiet/prayer space. We also have a baby change station and are a breastfeeding friendly facility.

We strive to be scent neutral. Please do not use any scented products while you are guests with us.

Emotional support and service animals are welcome. We have a room designated for this purpose. We regret that we cannot accommodate other animals.

Please let us know what you need to feel more comfortable and welcome.

Program Registration and Cancellation Policy

You can register through our website at any time. All registrations should be received at least two weeks prior to the event in order to ensure your space and to allow the kitchen adequate time to plan. The full program cost are due at registration.

  • Cancellation Policy Programs:

    · Cancellation up to 1 month prior to the program starts - Full Refund minus Eventbrite registration fee (online ticketing services fee) or keep a full credit for our future programs.

    · Cancellation up to 2 weeks prior to the program starts - 50% Refund & minus Eventbrite registration fee or keep a full credit for our future programs.

    · Cancellation 7 to 3 days prior to the program starts - 25% refund & minus Eventbrite registration fee or keep a 50% credit for our future programs.

    · Cancellation 3 to 1 days prior to the program starts, no refund or credit.

Cancellation Policy for Hosted Events

Confirmation deposit: 25% of estimated booking cost

  • Cancellation up to 14 days prior to event: 10% Non-refundable portion of deposit to cover loss of business and administration cost. Refund of deposit 15%.

  • Cancellation between 13-8 days prior to event: 20% Non-refundable portion of deposit to cover loss of business and administration cost. Refund of deposit 5%.

  • Cancellation between 7-1 days prior to event: 25% Non refundable portion of deposit. Refund of deposit 0%.

Meals

Our meals are tasty and served with a lot of love. Enjoy healthy home-style cooking with such favourites as chicken dinners, roast beef, stir-fries, generous salads, and homemade breads, rolls, desserts, even chutneys. We serve local where we can and organic, JustUs fair trade tea and coffee! Meals and mealtimes are fondly remembered by our guests and are core to our gatherings.

We strive to be radically welcoming and accommodate the needs and special requests of our guests as we realize this is part of equity and inclusion. Accommodations include: vegetarianvegan, Halal, no porkceliac (gluten free)lactose intolerancepeanut and shellfish allergies. We do our best to respond to requests but being located in rural areas can make some menus difficult and costly. We encourage guests to supplement their meals at the Centre with their own food from home in these cases.

Breakfast is generally served at 8am, lunch at 12.30pm and supper at 5.30pm. Nutrition breaks are served at 10.30am and 3pm but the morning snack can be swapped out for a late night snack left at 6:30pm overnight upon request. Come and enjoy!

Fees (tax included)

Personal Retreat – $500/week, $850/2 weeks, $1500/month

While there are other learning programs and events, meals and snacks can be offered for a small additional fee. Spend time in Stewart Hall in the company of others or find a “quiet table” on your own, if you prefer not to chat.
